Dr. Kelly Santandrea
Licensed Psychologist
Board Certified in CLinical Child and Adolescent Psychology
I am a licensed clinical psychologist originally from Johannesburg, South Africa. I have had the privilege of traveling around the world which allowed me to learn and appreciate a variety of cultures, beliefs, and values. This is the foundation I work from! I earned my undergraduate and honors degree program in South Africa and completed my Masters (M.S.) and Doctorate (Psy.D.) degrees in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
I believe everyone is unique and therefore pride myself in utilizing a strength-based, person-centered approach. I am devoted to helping others empower themselves and live a fulfilling life. Incorporating a variety of approaches to treating difficulties makes my treatment focus unique and flexible. Treatment modalities may include dialectical behavioral therapy skills, family systems therapy, play therapy, CBT, and behavioral therapy.
Some services offered include but are not limited to treating individuals and families experiencing post-traumatic stress, high-family conflict, divorce, reunification therapy, mood disorders, anxiety, and behavioral concerns. I also offer comprehensive psychological evaluations, psycho-educational evaluations (ADHD, learning disorders, etc.), and court-ordered evaluations.
Dr. Megan Matthews
Post-doctoral fellow
I am a pre-licensed postdoctoral fellow in clinical psychology with specialized training in providing therapy and psychological assessment across the lifespan. I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Indianapolis and completed my clinical internship at Nova Southeastern University’s Psychology Services Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Over the years, I have worked in private practice, community mental health, a state hospital, and university-based clinics, which has given me a wide range of experience supporting individuals and families with diverse needs.
In my work, I draw from evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, interpersonal process therapy, and attachment-based/relational frameworks. My style is collaborative and strength-based, with a focus on tailoring treatment to each client’s unique goals, culture, values, and life experiences.
I have a particular passion for supporting underserved and minoritized populations and for helping people navigate post-traumatic stress, complex trauma, dissociation, depression, anxiety, personality dynamics, and relationship challenges. In addition to therapy, I provide comprehensive psychological evaluations to help clarify diagnoses and guide treatment.
My goal is to create a supportive, validating, and empowering space where clients feel understood and equipped to create meaningful change in their lives.
